How to Use RDP (Remote Desktop Protocol) or Remote Desktop Connection

Make sure you are connected to Global Protect VPN before trying to access a workstation remotely.

Check the bottom right corner to see if Global Protect is connected.

Now search for Remote Desktop Connection and launch it.

Next type in the desired computer name that you want to connect to and add .id.sdsu.edu at the end then click connect.

Example shown below.

Now enter you SDSU Credentials, include @sdsu.edu

Then Click Yes to connect to the workstation.

At this point, your remote session has begun.



If you get this, Please click No. This means someone else is already using that workstation. Please choose another workstation.
