Step no. 1:
from the primavera P6 Professional R8.1 folder we click on setup, the program will start by installing MS .Net Framework4 as per the following figure:

Step no. 2:
click accept then java window will appear to install java program

Step no. 3:
Click install then install to complete java installation as per the figure below

following java installation the Net Framework4 will be installed which could take some time.
Step no.4:
The install primavera P6 Professional R8.1 window will open, click next

Step no. 5:
choose stand alone then click next

Step no. 6:
the primavera program will ask for the password, the primavera R8.1 default password is Prima123Vera

Step no. 7:
the primavera program will install the database

Step no. 8:
after installing the data base the the following message will come , just click finish
completed the primavera Professional R8.1 setup wizard
Step no. 9 :
the system will ask to restart the computer just click restart later to install a new data base first, Go to primavera P6 Professional R8.1 folder, then database folder then click dbsetup and follow the next step.

Step 10:
add the primavera password Prima123Vera and database name XE

Then click next , then create as per following photo:

Then click next and type the password in each cell same to user name above. i.e administrative user name : admuser administrative password: type same username (admuser) without brackets and confirm same password, see photo below

Then click next to go to next step to choose the primavera password lets say admin

Then click install and wait the primavera database installation to be completed

Now the installation is completed, restart your computer and open the primavera program from the icon and type the user name admin and the password admin to log in
