How to setup Ubuntu 20.04 on the HPD

Launch Oracle VirtualBox then click Machine then Add

Then navigate to This PC -> Windows (C:) -> VirtualBox -> Ubuntu 20.04 Then select Ubuntu 20.04.vbox then click open

Now you see the Ubuntu 20.04 virtual machine. Next click Start

The virtual machine should startup and show you the login for student.

The password for the student account is student.

Optional: to enable full screen on ubuntu, follow these steps:

Open the dotted square "Show Applications" in the bottom left corner.

Search "Terminal" to open it. In the terminal, run the following command:
sudo apt install build-essential dkms linux-headers-$(uname -r)

After the password has been entered, it will ask "Do you want to continue? [y/n]"
Press 'y' and hit enter.

After everything has finished setting up in the terminal, go to "Devices" -> "Insert Guest Additions CD image..." as shown below

Click "Run"

Enter password for student and then wait for it to say "Press Return to close this window..."

Restart ubuntu by clicking on the Power Off symbol in the upper right corner -> "Power Off/Log Out" -> "Power Off..." -> "Restart"

Now the full screen should be enabled.
