How you connect to Azure Labs
NOTE: YOU MUST BE CONNECTED TO AN OUTSIDE NETWORK OF SDSU. IT WOULD NOT LET YOU CONNECT TO THE VIRTUAL MACHINE ON SDSU NETWORK.
Please request access to join Azure Labs via ost.sdsu.edu or servicenow.sdsu.edu and we will gladly assign a virtual machine to you.
After you request for access to join Azure Labs, we will send you an invitation to join.
When you receive your invitation email from Azure Labs please register to that lab.
To register to Azure Labs, open the Register for Lab email and click Register for the lab.
(If you already register, go to labs.azure.com to connect to your Virtual Machine)
Login with your SDSU Credentials to continue to the virtual machines.
Now select the Virtual Machine you want to connect to and Click to start the virtual machine.
Now wait for about 5 minutes while the virtual machine is starting up.
Now that the virtual machine is running. Click the little computer monitor on the bottom right corner.
Create a password for your virtual machine and then click Set password
Now wait a few minutes for the virtual machine to set the password.
(This only happens when you first register to the virtual machine)
Click on the computer monitor at the bottom right corner to connect to the virtual machine and download the RDP file.
Now open the RDP file that was downloaded.
Click Connect to connect to the virtual machine.
Now enter the password you created early
Wait for it to connect to the virtual machine
Now click yes to connect to the virtual machine.
At this point you are connected to Azure Labs virtual machine and can access the software needed for your Engineering course.
NOTE: Be sure to sign out and turn off virtual machines because you are only limited to a certain amount of hours per semester.
How to reset your Azure Labs virtual machines password
Click on the 3 vertical dots on the bottom right corner and select Reset password
Now type in new password and click Reset password. Wait for password to reset then login as usual.
