  1. How to Download NI LabView:
    1. Students: "Note: NI no longer offers LabVIEW Student Edition. For any new applications, NI recommends that students use LabVIEW Community Edition or look into the NI software packages available through their school. Contact your school's License Administrator to determine if you have access to NI software" - NI
      1. If you're a student assistant: Please submit a ticket here specifying the lab you're working in, the professor in charge, and the device you want to install on.
      2. If you're not a student assistant: Please use the Community Edition.
    2. Faculties/Researchers:

      2. Personal computer(s): Proceeds to the following steps.
  2. Installation Prerequisites:
    1. Administrative Privilege: Installing LabView will require administrative privilege on the designated computer and/or laptop, LabView will not install without it.
    2. Systems Requirements: LabView 2022

      2. Run-Time Engine:
        1. Processor: Pentium 4M/Celeron 866 MHz (or equivalent) or later (32-bit) Pentium 4 G1 (or equivalent) or later (64-bit)
        2. RAM: 256 MB
        3. Screen Resolution: 1024 x 768 pixels
        4. Disk Space: 620 MB
      3. Development Environment:
        1. Processor: Pentium 4M (or equivalent) or later (32-bit) Pentium 4 G1 (or equivalent) or later (64-bit)
        2. RAM: 1 GB

        5. Color Palette: LabVIEW and the LabVIEW Help contain 16-bit color graphics. LabVIEW requires a minimum color palette setting of 16-bit color.
        6. Temporary Files Directory: LabVIEW uses a directory for storing temporary files. NI recommends that you have several megabytes of disk space available for this temporary directory.
        7. Adobe Reader: You must have Adobe Reader 7.0 or later installed to search PDF versions of all LabVIEW manuals.

    1. Create an account using SDSU email: https://lumen.ni.com/nicif/create.xhtml image 
      1. You will be asked to confirm the account registration through your email box.
    2. Go to this website, version should be by default and click "DOWNLOAD": https://www.ni.com/en-us/support/downloads/software-products/download.labview.html#487445 image 
    3. Locate the downloaded file (in "Downloads" folder by default) and run it: image
    4. Accept the license agreements and click "Next": image
    5. Also click "Next" on disabling Windows Fast Startup and Version:imageimage
    6. Wait until finish package manager installation is finished: image
    7. After the package manager installation is finished, select any programming environment/Software/Add-ons/Drivers to install or just leave default and click "Next": image
    8. Select any additional tools to install or just leave default and click "Next": image
    9. Accept the license agreements again: image
    10. Click "Next" on the firewall exception: image
    11. Reviewing the packages and click "Next": image
    12. Wait until the installation is finished: image
    13. if the NI Update Service pops up, click "Yes": image
    14. After the installation is finished, click on "Log in to Activate" and enter your credentials: image
    15. After logged in, leave the "Check my account for licenses" by default and click "Activate": image
